Default 97 Z28 A/C troubleshoot

So I bought a 97 Z28 with 105k miles on it early last summer and the AC has never worked. The clutch for the compressor engages and the system is full of refrigerant. It was hooked up to a test machine and it read the high side and low side both at 100 psi with the AC on (clutch on pump engaged). I was told this points to a bad compressor.

Compressor blew up. Replace compressor condenser suction discharge hose assembly expansion valve and filter drier and you'll be good to go. Either do it right first time or don't touch it you can't half *** HVAC and have a cold reliable functioning system. Stay away from rebuilt compressors they are junk new gm on all parts is your best bet but it won't be cheap. You CANNOT correctly flush the condenser to be reliable once compressor blows up it gets debris deep inside and it cannot be flushed. cold air ain't cheap air.

Default .

Thanks for the info. I was prepared to have to shell out some money to fix it. The car is black with black leather interior, it gets pretty darn hot.
