Default Rear end Torque Arm Mount Question

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I have a 98 Camaro with the flimsy 7.5" rear end and I am looking at putting a 8.5" 10 bolt in yes I know there are other options out there but the 8.5" is free the only problem I have is how to mount the torque arm to it which is a problem that's been around as long as the torque arm has but what I was wondering is what if I had a plate made that bolted under the rear end cover that used all 10 bolts and had a flange that came off of it to where I could weld a torque arm mount to it similar to the mount currie sells for its fabricated 9" any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated

also I planned on using studs in the rear end to allow for a thicker plate
