Things have slowed down a bit. Just finished moving. Here's the new setup
I did manage to get the plastics fitted around the cage, I have a friend bending some aluminum for the door panels, and I just completed the stand alone harness. I'll get some pics uploaded soon.
Haven't gotten that part figured out. So many different ways to go. Lol

But if you do plan on keeping it, you'll need:
LS K-member,
LS3
4L60e trans for an LS
Wire harness and computer for LS
New Fuel pump for the V8 cars
V8 front springs
I believe a new radiator for a V8 car
I'm sure I'm missing a few odds and end items to make it work, but this is the big pieces to get you going.

It's totally doable, but it won't be as cheap as it sounds. Unless you have a sentimental attachment to the car, you could pick up a LS car and do a LS3 top end for way cheaper than converting a V6 car to a V8. I chose to convert my V6 car only because no matter what, I was doing an LQ4 swap. So V8 or V6 it was coming out.

Update, Ls7 lifters and LS9 gaskets will be in today. So I'll be bolting on these freshly painted and rebuilt heads today. I can't wait.
I also started removing the fromt portion of the inner fenders to make room for the turbos. Drilling out pinch welds are such a pain the a**.

I know it’s been beat to death and I’ve done a lot of reading, but I just want to confirm I’m on the right track when it come to measuring pushrod length.
I have:
- stock 317’s not milled to my knowledge.
- LS9 gaskets
- LS7 lifters
- LS1 rockers
- Tick performance stage 3 turbo cam
So, using the pushrod checker, I got 7.400” works. Next I read you need to add preload. From what I’ve read, Ls7 lifter call for .66-1.00. My question is, do I go with 7.500’s or do I pick something in between?

UPDATE!!! Still at it.
Still progressing, saving cash and recovering from the move, so I’ve been focusing on free and cheap projects. I just finished painting the roll cage today. I also de powered the rack and pinion. Tomorrow I’ll be replacing both window regulators and run the wiring.
