99 ss Question I am new to this forum and been a long time ls1 fan. Always wanted a good 98-02 z28 or ss. I found a 99 ss 1 owner car that I would like to purchase. Problem is the car starts but shuts of after a few seconds. Owner states was driving the car around fine one day then went to get in it the next and fired up then quit running. I was over the guys house the other day and with a jump the car fired right up. But then dies. From what i can tell all the gauges work and no lights came on i.e oil light, low pressure light. Car has been sitting now for 8 months. Does anyone have a clue to what it might be? Or can point me in the right direction to trouble shoot things? I am trying to do a little research before I jump in to the car to see if it is a costly fix or a few bucks. Thank you in advance for any and all help
$12 part and bitch of a job to do, waste of time for this. If that switch is faulty, you can turn the key and the lights come on like normal at ACC. It when you try to start it nothing will happen except lights will dim like your starter soleniod is dead.
