I'm looking at a 69 camaro X11 and it don't have a 12 bolt but it has front disc brakes and some sites say that some ss cars had ten bolts. What else do I need to look for to make sure it's an ss

One easy way is to look at the driver side frame rail. On the outside where the holes are to mount the exhaust, it will be threaded. A regular Camaro will just have the hole with no threads, indicating a single exhaust.

69Project

SS had a 12 bolt rear. If the rear that is in the car is a 10 bolt and is original to the car than it isn't an SS.

Camaro.org will give you all the information for you to look at your car and determine what it is. X11 is also a base Camaro if memory serves me right so it might take looking at parts of the car in order to determine what it is.
