1998 z28 Street Beast Build - "VENOM"

Do yourself a favor and get one plan and stick with it. Switching to every block that comes your way isnt helping much. With that said if you are still planning the boost route a wild cam is not what you want. Call up BTR or comp and talk with someone who has the experience towards specing a cam for your application.

To the OP, your whole post is just a straight up "Sloppy Mechanics Build". All you need to do is pick one of his set-ups, copy and paste to your vehicle and you have your cheap power combo, maybe not 1k HP but 800 should be obtainable.

UPDATE: The LS3 needs a good bit of work done to it from being blown, which I found out after the seller lied and it was taken apart. To get the car up and going so I can have it ready for the season, I have a complete lq4 that I'm going to throw in there with a cam, tune, 243 heads, tbss intake, 90mm tb, etc and being bolted to a 4L80E. Shooting for around 425 to the tire nothing too fancy, just having it in running shape for the season while the LS3 is being fixed and built. It's a cool experience as I'm learning along the way and actually learning the budget it takes to build a car lol.

Update: Wow it's been a over a year, but I grew a little and narrowed everything down. Luckily I can build this myself now, so I decided to go with the lq4 with the TSP 233/239 cam, 243 heads with upgraded springs, ls6 intake, and a ebay throttle body. Rebuilding the 4l80e as we speak. I'm needing a higher stall torque converter for the cam so if any of you guys have any suggestions let me know.
