Nothing at Key

Nothing at Key Changed out speedo, started car,, oil gauge acted funny. Turned off car,,,unhooked battery,, hooked battery back up and now nothing at the key and no lights on dash. Headlights, dome, rear view mirror lights, radio works,, but absolutely nothing on dash and not one peep from ignition. Any ideas? VATS would have at least Security light right?

Mine is acting stupid,,so bought used one,,,not sure if same year to drive while I try to have mine repaired. Swapped out my mechanical one for digital in my 94 and not an issue. I've ordered new ignition switch,,,see what happens*

Is it cold where you live? I have the same problem when temps are below 30 degrees or so. Turn the key to run, everything fires up except the dash, the fuel pump and the PCM. Wait 10 seconds or so, all the relays pick up and the car starts flawlessly. Once spring comes its no longer an issue lol
