Default 1st Gen Motor Mounts

I'm trying to find out what motor mounts everyone used in their swap and what they liked or didn't. I recently tried using Holley's on my 68 Camaro and the intake would be about 1 1/2" into the firewall if I could get it on.

I used some ebay specials.

Do you have them on the correct sides, and what set-back ?

My block sits about 3/4" off the firewall

Yeah I am about the same if not a little more clearance on the block. The back of the intake touches the firewall and needs at least another 1 1/4” to line up with a little clearance.

I’m using the hooker black heart 67-69 F body brackets 12618HKR and new clamshell mounts.

Looks like a smoothed fire wall , which could be an issue ?

Also, is the motor sitting at the correct angle ?
