Glad I ran across your post. My 99 is missing the front clip emblems and has red rear emblems. I'll def be ordering a set. Thanks.

Holley LS Fest East 2019 was a blast. This was our second year going, but first for me having a car. Did the show and shine competition. Really wanted to dyno my car to get some good bone stock numbers, but just ran out of time. 😣 Anyways heres some pics.

😡.....unfortunately after the short stick install when I tried to move my car I had a lot of difficulty putting the car into reverse and 1st. Also noticed my clutch pedal sticking to the floor. Basically cannot move the car now bc the clutch pedal will not come up unless I use my hand to lift it. If the car is in gear when I start it and try to release the clutch it stays depressed and eventually the car dies like I've stalled it.

Odd part is I've never had issues with my clutch b4 or shifting issues whatsoever. So I'm not sure if I somehow tweaked something when installing the umi short stick, or if this is a freak coincidence.

Plan to flush out my master cylinder reservoir in the coming days using the ranger method and pray that works. I did check the fluid, and it's nasty dark.

Slave cylinder failure is not uncommon on these cars.

😫 I know. Im hoping that's not the case. One would think with only 35k miles I'd be okay.

SLP lid with black carbon fiber 3M 1080 wrap (pain in the butt). But love the look of it. Sets it off from your standard lid. Also painted my MAF.

I have not. Flushing out the master cylinder did not work. It improved it for about 5 minutes then the pedal started sticking again just as bad.

So I purchased a tick adjustable master cylinder and plan to install that when my buddy is in town to help me next month. That should fix the issue.

That engine bay looks pristine! It's a beauty and will be for years to come if garage kept and not out on the streets with the crazies oh and the rutting deer. My poor car had a run in with one of those late October.

I appreciate it! The previous owner kept it extremely clean and I'm trying to continue the trend.

That pains me to hear! Sorry man. That's one of my biggest fears. I live around a lot of large tracts of land and am always paranoid about deer.

Wow beautiful car and congrats on finding a low mileage SS! Did the owner have the SLP birth certificate?? The trans issue is most likely the slave cylinder and not the master. If you are going to drop the trans, might as well put in a LS7 clutch with a light weight fly wheel and new adjustable slave cylinder . . . don’t forget to measure to determine if you need shims. Go through Tick if you plan to replace these parts, excellent customer service.

I got a nose emblem from emblempros over 10 years ago and loved it!!

Thank ya! It's been a blast to own thus far. And unfortunately the owner did not have the SLP certificate. The SLP SS's confuse me to some extent. From what I understand most of the 02' SS were badged as SLP Camaros. My driver side tag has the SLP code : (Y2Y) but I have no passenger side SLP tag and no SLP options as far as I know. So I'm not sure if it's still considered a true SLP car??

And some of the reading I've been doing makes me think it's the slave and not master. I'll know here in about 2 weeks. If it is indeed the slave I most definitely will purchase a clutch also even though the stocker is fine now. I only want to have to fool with dropping the tans once, and I know it's only a matter of time b4 the stock will go out, especially when I go HCI. And I'll for sure go through Tick. They always have seemed like a solid company to work with.

SVEonline I believe can give you all the info on your car. I thought 01-02 all SS cars got the Y2Y RPO code. All SS cars are SLP modified and to verify it’s an SS, the RPO code is WU8. My car is a base SS, meaning the only modification is the SS hood, spoiler, badges and it came with the stock ZR1 wheels. My car has cloth seats, A4 trans, hardtop and no rear defogger . . . almost a stripper car.

I believe your right about the 01-02's. I'll have to check that site out and see what mine pulls up. And yeah I've got the wu8 as well. Thx for the info!
