Hey. Did you get the, what I call, 3rd window sticker? On my 2001 SLP SS that’s where my SLP options are listed. I/E, CME and SS grille insert.

You lucky dog! Helluva way to join the club. Don’t feel alone in the clutch issues though, all of us 6 spd guys go through it. Just be glad you don’t have a 60e! You did right by going with tick. It’s the only option IMHO.

I had the same thing happen to my 01 SS with the clutch pedal going to the floor and having to use my foot to make it return. I replaced my master cylinder with the tick one. Great upgrade over stock, and it solved the issue.

Thanks! I love the look of it. But,
unfortunately after about 3 weeks the wrap at the back side of the lid started coming up and bubbling terribly. Not sure what the deal was bc I haven't driven the car. So I had to remove it. 👎 I plan to either try again or maybe get it hydro dipped.

Great to know. Here in 2 weeks it's going in. Ready to get to driving it again. Although won't be driving too much since it's winter.

Back on the road!

Friend of mine came and helped me install Tick MC and a quick install speed bleeder which did not require the transmission to be dropped.
Thrilled to be driving this thing again.

Did a little tail light mod. I've always been on the fence about the amber portion of the tail lights on ls1 camaros.

LT1 style I like the coloring and the style but can't stand the lines in the light when it is lit up.

So did a little digging around and found the red out where people used red translucent spray so this was my take on it. Took approx. 4-5 coats. I went heavy on the coats knowing I had to wet sand after.
Spray used: Tamiya Red Translucent Spray #37

Edit**: Also ended up spraying some spraymax 2k clear coat over the lights for extra protection based on some people's recommendations. Just to update. Would highly recommend this clear coat in a can. Very very smooth after it dried.

Thank you! Not being able to drive it much since I waxed it last has helped that shin stay. Ready for spring 😁

Yeah I'm thrilled with how it turned out.

Nice SS I like how the lid came out! Shame it didn't stick, maybe whatever was used to.detail it reacted to the adhesive?

I was pretty bummed it messed up. Possibly, the lid seemed greasy despite my efforts to clean it.

What I'll probably do next time I have to separate the lid from the MAF I'll get it hydro dipped carbon fiber.

Update on window motor. Dorman 742-101 After about 5-6 months the motor started making an awful buzzing noise when rolling up.
When the window would fully seat at the top it makes the noise. During the process of going up it's quiet, but as it hits the top it makes the noise. I removed the motor and listened to it and it sounded like I could hear the gears clicking, so I'm assuming it was a dud motor.

Replaced the motor again with the same Dorman motor due to getting the other one replaced for free bc it was faulty. Installed it and lubed up regulator tracks in the door with Sil-Glyde. All is working great now. Hopefully this motor holds.

Window tints redone.
-Back glass 15%
-T-tops 5%
-Front Windshield 50% with 5% brow .
-Side glass was tinted by previous owner. Tint shop guessed it was around 10-15%

After a long hunt my brother finally found his dream car. Him and I both have wanted fbodies since high-school and he was able to purchase his this week.

Beautiful garage kept 2001 WS6 TA with 31k miles. Almost the same mileage as my SS when I bought it last year. One cool mod a previous owner did was an IROC Spoiler which only came on 10th anniversary firehawks. Apparently they are very rare spoilers. Ready to do some cruising this summer 😎.

His is lowered which is making me want to buy some suspension parts.

Not even had it a week and already messing with it. Had to install a new bump stop.
