Talking True story

When General Motors unveiled the name Camaro in 1966 the automotive press asked "What is a Camaro?" They were told that it was a small vicious animal that eats Mustangs..

Had one of those jump out on me at a traffic light a year or so back and I ran him down in third but ended up missing my turn.. He rolled his window down and asked me what I had under the hood because he could hear me coming and there was nothing he could do. He wanted to go from the roll and I should have taken him up on that but passed. I also find it amusing how people drive on the freeways. I'll be doing like 20-25 over the limit and yet people are still inclined to pass.

Interesting. Maybe AMC got the hint with, 'What's a Matador' in the 1970's. I'm only familiar with it since I owned a Matador X a few years back.
Here's the commercial and my car below.

I can envision one of those with an LS powerplant under the hood.

I’ve had a couple coyotes pull up on me and had to disappoint them. Last week I had a new body style GT500 try and pass me on the highway and to my surprise he was not able to. I got off my exit and he came from the fast lane to follow me. Pulled up next to me at the light to tell me he was amazed at how fast my car was and asked if I was stock. 😂. Gave me the thumbs up and busted a U turn to get back on the highway.

With your list of mods I have no doubt. That being said, an S550 Mustang GT is a hell of a lot faster than a fourth generation F-body in stock trim. In the modern era, the Coyote based Mustang is no joke with it beating the Camaro in some years and only being slightly slower in others. Often the difference is so close that there functionally is no difference. At least when we are talking about stock vehicles of comparable year models. In the aftermarket GM has the advantage due to the Coyote being so damn costly to modify.

The driver of the Mustang probably wasn't really willing to push his car as fast as you were willing to push yours. Lacking the will to pass you isn't the same as the car not being able to. A lot of people aren't going to drive like that on the street.

Oh he was pushing his car. Trust me I have no doubt he could easily pass and has at least 200 hp on my car. Beautiful car! I think he was more impressed a 23 year old car still had some steam and surprised him.
