Hi everyone, first time member of LS1 Tech page.
I recently bought a 1997 Camaro with a 5.7L LT1

After a better understanding of how these cars run and cool I bought an Aftermarket Digital engine temperature gauge.

I cant find any info on what size fittings I will need for the install. My gauge only came with a 1/8th inch NPT fitting. Do I need to go to the 3/8 adapter fitting?

also besides adding a upper radioator house adaption where would you install the new sensor?

preferably keeping the stock dummy gauge and without the ECU/PCM going into coolant failsafe mode. Car already runs really low temp driving
