Build number

how do i get my cars build number? i wanna know just for pleasure...is there any where online i could go to get the number?

Contact SLP and give them your VIN number and year and they should be able to help you.

thought you would have to contact SLP if the car was a SLP package...mine isnt...would that matter?

SLP only has numbers for SS's. Z28's only have a VIN number. SS's have a VIN #, an SLP # and if its and 02 LE it would also have an LE #.

there anyway i can tell my production number using my VIN? i know the last couple of numbers are the date it was made.

You can either get in contact with SLP and give them your VIN # and they will have your build number. Or you can go to www.camaroz28.com. They have a lot of postings of different years for camaros. GOOD LUCK!!!!

SLP doesn't have build numbers for Z28's. The last numbers in your VIN # is not a date. It is the sequence number of the car. Check this website for VIN decoding.
