I do know that they extended the 69 model production longer than normal and that the 70 model didn't actually arrive on lots until early 1970 instead of fall of 1969.

1969 Camaros were made up until Feb of 1970. This is why some people referred to the new '70 models as 70-1/2 b/c of the late beginning of the model year. They never sold 69 models as 70's, at least as far as I know. Most of the printed records and photos I have access to show (similar to yours) that there wasn't a "new" model to introduce in August-Sept of 1969, so they continued to sell the '69 versions.Derek
