The bottom half is held in with a "hook" on both sides, that holds onto those metal rods under the seat. You have to push HARD on the very bottom of the seat, towards the rearend of the car. When you push them back far enough, the hooks disengage and then you lift upwards on the seat and it gets them out of the hooks.
Grab a flashlight and look under the seat, you will see the hooks and how they work. I'm not kidding about having to push that seat frame back pretty hard.
The top half just has some screws holding it on the bottom, which you can't get to until the bottom seat is removed. Then there are some hooks on the top of the seat that it hangs on.
