I drove mine all last winter. It wasn't too bad, but I had some all-weather performance tires on it plus traction control and an A4. I've also driven in snowy winters all my life, so I already knew how to get around pretty well. This year might be different with the 315 Nitto DR's though.

LOL I just took out my gfs Mustang GT after a small snowstorm that we just had.... man was it fun. Took off the TC a couple of times and had some fun. I wouldn't drive a camaro or ws6 in this weather though...just not right. Could care less about my gfs GT though.

I never drive any of my F-bodies in the winter anymore. That's by choice though, I have other cars that I don't mind exposing to the elements/salt.
Last F-body I had to use in the winter was my '89 Formula 350. It did decent in the snow with some weight in the back and good tires. These cars are not good at all in heavy snow though......

For moderate snow areas like Chicago, just a good set of snow tires and an extra 100-200lbs in the trunk will get through just about anything we get here, maybe excluding those very rare 15-20" snow storms though......

they aren't bad at all in the snow imo.. I've been driving 4 gen camaros in the snow for 7 years now. my last camaro was slamed too on bilsteins with ground control coilovers. I'd routinely plow snow with the air deflector and I didn't have any problems. Just toss some weight in the rear and get a 2nd set of wheels for full on snow tires. heck I was driving my camaro today in the snow in chicago. You just have to know learn to drive a RWD in the snow. when the tires spin countersteer and be gentle on the throttle.

I drove mine with weight in the trunk and it was terrible. I slid sideways climing a hill with a dusting of snow and decided it was time to buy something for the winter. It wasn't worth wrecking it after I started to add more money to it and don't want it to be a waste.

Unfortunately my Camaro is all I have, but it drives pretty damn good. That is, with snow tires that are 215, 60, 16's and an extra 100-150 lbs over the rear axle. At certain times I have to turn off the traction control, like going up hills, so that the car will actually move. So far I have been able to drive through everything. It seems to drive better than my brother's Sentra in the snow. Personally I like the rear wheel drive. This way my front tires are only for stearing. I don't have to worry about the car pulling in any direction. I get to control where it goes.

I drove my Z28 last winter in the snow with 275-40-17 Kumho MXs and was ok. I have a DD now so I can just leave the Z28 sitting at home during the winter months. If you dirve like you have some sense and know how to handle your car you should be fine.

My SS is my daily driver. If there is more than a dusting I try to stay home. If I have to go out, I take my wife's Audi Quattro. But since im a govy they close fairly easily so I normally dont have to go in on those days.
