The build sheet on my WS6 I think was in the glove box. If it wasn't there, then it was in a plastic envelope with a bunch of other paperwork given to me by the dealer. (Bought the WS6 brand new). Haven't seen a build sheet yet on the Firehawk (bought that barely used).

I haven't heard of a way to get build sheets yet, but here is a place that does Chevy window sticker reproductions... if you don't have your window sticker either, this would be better than missing both of them

Any GM dealer can get the info you want. Give them the VIN and they can retrieve the following:
Vehicle Build.
Vehicle Component.
Vehicle Summary.
Original Dealer Info.
The above is considered complete documentation. I have all of it for my late model cars. Wish it was that easy for the 68 Z28.
