1986 Camaro engine swap - fuel pump problems
Like the Title says, I have an 1986 Camaro with a 2.8L TBI V6 engine. I have recently swapped that motor out for a 1988 350 TPI motor and 700R4 Trans. I purchased a wrecked 88' Iroc-Z for a great price, the motor, trans and rear end were still in awesome condition with low miles.
Here is my problem, I have everything installed and have double checked everything. We cannot get the fuel pump to work, there is absolutly no juice going to the fuel pump. We can hotwire the fuel pump and it will almost turn the car over, but like I said there is no juice going to the fuel pump itself. Has anybody done this swap and run into this problem or know anything related to this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where did the computer for your motor swap come from? If it had VATs, you need to bypass the VATs system unless you also swapped the steering column too and have the key with the little chip in it from the same car. The VATs system will not allow the fuel pump relay to close and thus you will not get any juice to the pump, and even if you hotwire the pump directly, the VATs system will also disable the proper injector pulse and the car will still not fire. If the car didn't have VATs on the other hand, I would check the wiring diagram for your fuel pump. For example, mine also has a low oil pressure cut-off switch.... maybe there is something like that on your car?

VATS will kill the starter as well. If the ignition/starter work properly then you probably have a bad fuel pump relay. Unless you managed to bypass VATS for the starter.

The starter kill relay was in the left kick panel on the 3rd gens and is easily bypassed for the swap . So , it could made to crank yet no fuel action . Everything I've heard so far sounds right on.Vats is most likely your culprit.
