In 1987, "A new LT model-option replaced the Berlinetta, which, ironically, had come into the world as a replacement for the Type LT."

The base factory price for a 1987 Camaro LT was $11,517 with a V6, and $11,917 with a V8. 1987 was the only year it was offered.

"The Camaro Type LT, or Luxury Touring model, was seen for the first time in 1973, and filled a gap in the model lineup left by the elimination of the SS package." It continued to be offered each year until the Berlinetta was introduced in 1979.

It probably had/has cruise control, power windows, maybe nicer door panels,
but nothing really worth getting excited about or trying to save/salvage or restore

That was the only year it was offered... makes it somewhat uncommon

Don't have numbers on the particular Camaro models produced that year, only total V6s vs total V8s, so I can't tell exactly how uncommon.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, the model-specific production numbers for that year are not available.
