Hi,
I have a 96 Z28 and I'm having problems with the cooling fans. When I bought the car only the right fan was running and it ran all of the time, the left fan did not work at all. All of the relays, fuses aand fans check as good, but the fans will not run automatically. I also get a low coolant level light when it warms up, but the coolant is full. Ive had to bypass the relays to make the left fan run to avoid over heating. Does anyone have an answer to this.

have you tried the sensors in the block. Had a 87 firebird that the wire burned thru on that sensor and the fan only worked when the air was on. found that wire, hooked it back up and it worked just fine.

The primary fan wil come on once the temperature reaches 210. The secondary will not come on until 225-230. Off the top of my head I cannot remember the exact number. What temperature is it running at? As far as the low coolant light, it seems to be a recurring problem with LT1s. Its most likely due to a bad or dirty low coolant sensor.
You might want to post this in the LT1 section. You will get alot more responses there.
