Only in Aftermarket form. GN's vs Mustang is a classic match. In stock form, the camaro's always out handled the Mustang, and had much more topend due to better aero, and horsepower. 210 vs 245-275. So, I don't know what you mean by that statement except in the aftermarket world where it still is a great car to buy and race.

I love the 87-93 Mustangs so don't get me wrong. I was looking for one when I bought the car I have now.

HEY!!! I don't wear a mullet!

Whoever mentioned the origin of Corvette was right on. It's actually a type of boat, known for its speed and maneuverability.

Corvette= The name of a class of British war ships. They were smaller than destoryers and faster. They were used in convoy duty in WW1 and WW2. against the U-boats.

Camaro= french 1. friend 2. Spend more money on performance parts.

No, camaron in spanish means shrimp. Not only is there an addition of the "n", but its pronounced differently. If you said "camaron" without the "n" in spanish, they wouldnt have a clue what you are saying. Believe me Ive tried it, you have to say it with the right accent.

"kah-mah-rone"

vs

"cuh-mah-roh"

I don't want my car to consume a Mustang or Ricer orally...

I hit a deer once at 110 mph and it wasn't a direct hit still cost $7k. I don't want to think of how much it would cost to repair my car if it had to pass a Mustang or Civic after eating it.

Not to mention how much heart burn my poor '99 would have.

Hmmm, lets see here 87-92, 350 TPI versus 302 in a car shaped like a brick. Aint happening. As far as 93 goes lets do another comparison, 302 in the same brick shaped car versus 350 LT1.

VERDICT IS YOUR MUSTANG HAS ALWAYS SUCKED *** AND ALWAYS WILL NO MATTER WHAT YEAR YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT.

I always thought the meanings were this,

TransAm= I'm going to stomp a mudhole in your chest!! (Transamnian language)
Camaro= I'm going to stomp a mudhole in you face!! (camarian language)

In Spanish, I believe that Camaro means weak. So no these cars aren't Spanish.
NOTE: There as many FRENCH in the U.S. , if not more....For instance.....Louisiana is a 'French' state....although, most came from CANADA in about 1812, when they were actually defeated and kicked out... .... [ there are no French West of Quebec to speak of ]

although Louisiana has french ascestory, we don't claim to be related to those white flag wavin SOBs. The names of cars don't have to actually mean anything. some are just random things that ppl came up with

And just how many of these "french" people did you see on TV after Katrina?
My people came from Arcadia and not one of them waved any white flags, a few died while fighting. And I'll garuntee that not one of you Canooks can party or cook like a Cajin! I'd rather be up to my *** in Gators anyday than be up to my *** in snow!
