Default vortec TPI motor and a procharger

Does anyone know if the vortec TPI motor from Scoggin Dickey is anywhere near strong enough for a procharger? The compression is 9.6 so that should be safe but do you think the pistons will hold up? Any info is greatly appreciated!

Probably Only strong enough to about 6.0-6.5 lbs of boost(with the motor in good condition). Over that you need to either get an intercooler or forged stuff.

I am planning on purchasing everything new. I found a kit from procharger with the dual intercooler setup for my third gen. The motor is new out of the box and I am going to port the heads more for a cleanup and port match the intake before install.
