Default 81 camaro

OK i have been wanting a camaro for a relly long time now. I finly came across a 81 Camaro good condion no rust. body is all good and everything just needs a push rod. my friend owns it and says he will give it to me for 250. now im planing on rebulding the moter. its a 350 relly nice. now is there anything i shold know before starting and any help on any websites that i can use to get a lot of info form would relly be good thanks.

Figure out how usable that you want your car to be. You can be a mild street car with functionality and a/c (and other accessories) or a borderline race car with no real drivability, but still call it a street car (as you can read about many right here amongst our pages). Also, sit back, get yourself some matched engine parts that fit into YOUR budget. Car hobbying isn't cheap but can be fun and enjoyable if you keep it within your reason. Lots of luck to you. P.S., Sounds like you got a good deal on your starter car. It really doesn't matter what you build as long as YOU like it.
