I absolutly loved my stripper 2002 Z28 Hardtop

The only option on the car was the auto trans. CD/monsoon was standard in 2002, and I'm glad of it.

Otherwise it had a lack of the following:

power windows
power locks
power seats
rear defroster
cruise control
t-tops
asr
fog lights
front license plate braket
floor mats

It also had 2.73's and oddly enough, factory Z-rated tires

The only PITA was no rear defrost (I live in Utah)

I would have liked cruise, and if I had kept the car longer, i was planning to add it. The factory cruise is a fairly simple upgrade, if you have some wiring experience.

I would buy another stripper if I wasn't going back to school.

I have an 02 Stripper Z28 and I love it because it only weighs 3320lbs and it ran a 12.9 with a 2.21 60ft. It has a cd player and 6spd manual tranny.

Mine was around 3370 with the spare and jack.

My car is somewhat of a stripper. It has no leather, no t-tops, and no monsoon. But it does have the rear defrost, power locks/windows, cd player, and factory chrome wheels.

I have a 2001 Z28 1SC in MMM. Pretty rare combo from what I am told. Thing is, my car is a 1SC with options. Has rear defrost, chrome rims, and t-tops. That's it.

As for people looking down on the 1SC...not in my case. Every car cruise I have gone too, people have gathered around my car to check out the roll-up windows, no power door locks, ect. I like having a car you don't see every day.

I absolutely love mine but everything is for sale for the right price. I would sell my very rare black, M6 stripper today for $16,000. Very light and very fast. Check out my sig. Let me know if you (or anyone else for that matter) are interested.

I respect everyone's replies on this thread but a true stripper does not have auto, power locks, power windows, power seats, defrost, CD, leather, t-tops, etc, etc. A true stripper is ALL options deleted.

I've got a true stripper also. My camaro has no power locks, no pwr windows, hardtop, M5 tranny, tapedeck, manual seats, no defroster, and a light little V6.

Did your strippers come with air conditioning?

Yes, all Z's came w/ a/c and could not be deleted. I love stripper V-6's also but those are more common than stripper Z's.

My 2002 M6 Z28 weighs 3370 with no driver, no A/C, with spare, jack and a full tank. It is a hardtop (no T-tops) with manual windows. It is Navy Blue Metallic with cloth seats and painted 10-Spoke wheels. Mine is a true zero option car. I love it.

my Z28 is a stripper of sorts....i dont even have cruise control or a trunk release button, no steering wheel radio controls, manual locks windows and mirrors, black hardtop with tan cloth interior, 2.73 gears and 16 inch wheels (for some reason it had '02 snowflakes when i got it, and still does lol)...the only thing i do have is automatic transmission, if you can even count that i dont have the 1LE package or anything either...it didnt even come with a monsoon system, just some cheapy delco audio system

i like not having any options tho, as someone else stated before, it sets these cars apart from the rest.

they are also cheaper too....i got mine for a whopping $5,500, AND its a pretty rare color!

I paid 5,700 for my 9 year old TA... lol IVEBEENRIPPED

But i'd have to pass on your car no matter how cheap, I wanted a stick, but you got a hellova deal!!! Love the color

I think if they offer a 09 1le, i'll have to pick me up one... If not, I may have to pluck that silver 98 1le that has been floating around on ebay for like 2 years, and will still be floating around in 09 LOL 1le's don't have ac though... That might suck..

mine is also a stripper except for A4. Most people appreciate it. Every once in a while you get a jerk that says " ha ha, you don't have power windows!" that's when I drop the hammer and snap their heads back. He He... No regrets for me. I got it off the showroom for $19K while there was a fully loaded black on black SS sitting next to it for $32k. I think I made a good choice.

Im in the same boat as you. Hard top, no electric dick. no rear defroster i can deal with, no hatch release fine, no cruise, would be nice but ill live, manual locks are fine.
But the one thing that blows are the manual windows, particularly the passenger. Contorting yourself to roll that bitch down has gotten really old over the years. And i couldnt live with out a CD player, so i replaced the deck and put in 4 co-axels, nothing fancy but far better than stock.

My car new cost $13,800. Granted it's slow and thats going on 13 years ago, but hey, hell of a price for a spankin new 4th gen F-bod. The car would make a great base for a strip car. (as in drag strip)

i'm gonna try to weigh my stripper z this weekend, but the manual crank windows got old, every time i get someone next to me thats trying to tell me something, i tell them that my window doesn't roll down 'cause it's broke so i don't have to look like a tard trying to reach the window crank

I've got a 1SC optioned 1LE; it was standard with the 1LE anyways. I do have the monsoon radio and defogger. I like mine. I don't have any problems with manual windows, as that's what they had for many years before power windows became so standardized. I don't even have fog lamps.

I think the only true "stripper" cars are the old Super Stock Dodge's. I mean, they came with a 426 Hemi, stamp steel bumpers, no interior except for the dashboard, and front seats, no power locks or windows, not even a window crank, lol, no hubcaps, but all the go fast goodies.
