Default camaros

i'd have to say that the 69 is my all time favorite. i've got a convertible now and would like to someday add a 69 hardtop to the garage.

that said .... my next choice would be the early 70 thru 73, with the RS split bumpers.

i never thought that i'd say it, but i was totally diggin' the 76 coupe that popular hot rodding put together. my first camaro was a 75 rally sport LT, and i was wishing that i had kept that one. those cars are cheap, all of the performance parts bolt on and there are a ton of new parts available. the other plus for these is that you simply don't see a nice one very often. there is a "wow factor" when you do.

but i have to say that i have a thing for older (10 - 15+ years) cars that are well maintained.

Any 1st gen (67 - 69) would be option #1 then a 70 - 73 RS as a 2nd then a 4th gen as 3rd option

But as a every day driver and project the 4th gen wins hand down.

Wife and I have a 69 SS and a 2001 Z28 just wish I had a 70 to 73 RS to go with them!

I want a green with white stripes 69 z28 convertible as a 1st choice, my next would be a 89 black t-top iroc

In my opinion, 2nd gens are the ugliest cars out of them, defintely my least favorite of the the 4 generations, unless they come out with a 5th generation, that new concept is ugly.

1st > 3rd > 4th > 2nd

Still rather own a 2nd gen then a mudstang though.

79 Z28 for the win!! 3rd gens look soooooo boxy. at least when you put a 79 and a 98-02 camaro side by side they both have that rounded look going on. the 3rd gens look like the red heads of the Camaro's with their square headlights.

2000.

Honestly, if I had it to do over I would have gotten an 01/02 car to start with.

A MEAN lowered 89 Irocz.... LOL like mine... i want it lowered with a custom coil over setup with TOUGH spring rates for autocross/road race. its gotta handle extremely well cuz thats what i'm in to. its gotta have big fat rims on it. 17x11 or so in the rear.. maybe 18's. 9 inch-10 inch wides up front as well. deep dish CCW's with black inner spokes and polished lip.

for power train, i'd want a 382-402 LSx motor in there, maybe procharged for about 650-700rwhp. matted to a nice strong t56.
beefed up rearend, probly a 12 bolt or 9 inch

roll cage and racing buckets.. black and red scheme going on in the interior with black and red in the engine bay as well. black paint..

its gonna be HOT.

3rd gen tricked out with 4th gen interior and a lsx motor with a t56. Good looks and a bad *** drive train behined it. Whats not to love. Plus this is my next project so im kind of biased.

I am very in love with 3rdgens, but as those before have said, 70-73 Camaro.

The whole split grill is a sweet feature.

Keep the engine regular hieght and lower everythign else just enough so that your engine sticks out of the hood!!!~!!!!!! WHOO!
