I ran the T-Ram intake from the 1992 Firehawk (among many other mods) on my 1992 L98 car. It felt slow as ***** compared to my SS when it was stock... Just my $.02 I did enjoy the car though. I even added C5 wheels with 4.5" wheel spacers

So the 92 z28s with 5.7 have 245hp from the factory? Did any of them come with t-tops and 5.7?

they are rated at 245hp from the factory, but its more like 250-260 since they tend to dyno near 220-230rwhp stock.

and yeah there has been 5.7's and t tops...

T-Tops were NOT available with the G92 option or the 5-Speed Z28 Coupes.

RPOs were either located on the backside of the center console lid or in the locking compartment in the trunk fender.

Usually in the console 82-90 starting in 91 they moved to the rear glove box lid.

87-90 cars could get T-tops with any engine/trans (I have an 89 Camaro brochure), while the later 91-92 cars apparently were not offered with the larger engine and T-tops.

And the low engine redline on the TPI debate is a moot point. Holley's StealthRam is an excellent upgrade that's dirt cheap (compared to an aftermarket LSX intake), and will raise power output and power range signifcantly - another 1000 usable RPM and an additional 20-30HP on a stock engine.

And since I did not see it mentioned, nearly half of all IROCs produced were not TPI equipped. They were available in the early years with the low output carb 305, very few with the HO carb 305, and later the TBI 305. Avoid all These are 16 second cars at best (except L69).

I you want a "good" IROC, look for an 89/90 car, with either the 350 or the 305/M5/dual cats.

Starting in 1990 T-tops were not available with the 5.7 cars. I looked at a lot of cars that supposedly had the 5.7 and T-tops only to find out they all had the 5.0 motor. My car is one of the 2,415 cars equipped with the 5.7 and it does not have T-tops.

'90 was by far the best year of the IROC with the newer style interior

Which means they don't really count.

I had a '90 Iroc-Z L98 hardtop car. Traded it in on a 2004 Dakota 4x4 Then traded the truck(only had 8300 miles) for my 2002 Z28. But I still wish I would have bought my Iroc back.

Drove one all the way to AZ - comfortable car - good on gas... my 108 mile comute each day appreciates a car like that.

Interesting to say the least why someone would notice such a thing

Sold it to buy an engagement ring
It went to a young gentleman in NJ (through eBay). If anyone has any info on it I would be very appreciative
