Default Quick engine question..

I just bought a 1988 Iroc z28 camaro and I just was wondering if it is a 5.0 or a 5.7? It doesnt say anywhere on the car if its either one so Is there anyway I can look a my engine and tell which one it is??

Look at the VIN. The eigth digit will be an 8 for the 5.7 (L98/B2L), or F for the 5.0 LB9. This is assuming we're only taking into consideration the TPI engines.

Also cast on the back of the block just below the drivers side head, if you can get past all the wiring and hoses, there should be a 5.0 or 5.7
