Where is the Coolent Level Sensor on 98 Z28 ?

My 1998 Z28 keeps giving me a low coolent level warning light, but the jug is full and the car is not over-heating. Coud it be a bad sensor? Is the sensor in the jug under the battery tray? I can't find this in my cheap Haynes manual.

Look at the radiator cap, if you have an auto it is just below the top trans line, if manual it should be visible right below the radiator cap. It is a square sensor with a connector on the underside.

I had the same problem on my '97. I had a small pin hole leak on the tube that connects to the filler hole on the radiator, the hole was leaking coolant just enough to relay to the sensor that the coolant level was down. If you need a sensor I have a brand new one for sale, I got one thinking the sensor was bad until I found the hole in the tube. I don't know if this is the same part # for your year but this is what I have #10096163
