Default Oil differences between 98 and 99+

Hey everyone i needed some feed back on the differences between the way the oil goes through the 98 Ls1's compared to the 99+ Ls1's. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, my buddy had told me that there was a difference. My buddy said that he would explain it to me better today, but I haven't talked with him at all yet about it. He also said that the way the 98 oil design was, was that it was "worse" than the 99+ I'm just checking this out because I'm looking to buy an Ls1 but I wanted to know if I should start looking for a 99+ because of this so called "oil problem". Just need some feedback is all.
Thanks,
Shawn

I think he's on crack. There are differences between each model year but nothing significant.
