98-02 hands down.
- IMO they look better
- LS1 > LT1
- more aftermarket parts
- better fuel economy
- generally easier to work on (i hear LT1's are nightmares)
the only thing better about 93-97 cars is sound. LT1's generally sound better, but LS1's can still sound very good with the right setup.

When it comes to styling, I like aspects of both 4th gen Camaros. I like the cleaner grill and headlights of the LS1 Camaros, but I wish we had the vents on the hood that the LT1's got - something to break up that giant expanse of barren sheet metal.
The interior cloth seats on the LT1's are also far ahead of the LS1. I actually worked with a Chevy marketing guy when I was at Milford - I asked him why all of the Chevy cloth interiors now have some stupid pattern to them. He said it made them more "fun".
I prefer LT1 Firebirds hands down. The LS1 Firebirds fell victim to the late 90's Pontiac styling strategy of "let's tack on as much plastic per square inch as possible".

98-02.. not a big fan of the square look... the round has more of an appeal to me... It all blends together.. Of course could be because of my job.. everything looks better when it's all uniform.
