Default how bad?

how bad will i lose to a stock 02 ss a4 in a stock 93 z28 m6? i know i need to go from a stop but i want at least a close race as opposed to getting my butt whooped. how close would it be from a stop to 60 or 100? would it even be worth the money and time to race? i know i need mods and i'm willing to accept donations. lol

That SS should run low 13s you should run low 14's. Roughly a half of a second difference, not a close race assumming both cars run within the average range of times.

yea i know the only way to know for sure its to take it to the track but i don't want to get my doors blown off in front of everybody. i don't even know if i could get him to take it to the track. he was wanting to race on the highway. at steele which isn't the best track, most stock ls1s are running higher 13s but that's probably because of traction. it's about a 100 mile round trip to go to the track and back so i wouldn't want to go all the way down there and get slaughtered. i have no problem with losing as long as it's not too bad. he paid 18,500 for his and i paid 2,700 for mine so that'll help a little when i lose.

If you dont want to lose or get shown up by a faster car...DO NOT EVER GO TO THE TRACK.

Someone will ALWAYS be faster, have nicer stuff, and you will be playing mental catch-up instead of running your best.

Stay home and "race" over a couple of beers.

You'll get your *** handed to you. Only stroked or Nitrous'ed LT1's have beaten my stock 02 M6 SS w/SLP 345HP package of those that I've raced.

i don't have a problem losing to people in a car that cost 10 times more than mine(i would love to have an ls1 though). i'm not saying anything bad about ya'll for buying ls1s and maybe i'll have one someday.i figure i'll just run him and see where we're at time wise. if i lose so what? i can at least say i raced an ls1. there's 7 lt1s and 3 ls1s that i can think of in town. i don't think anybody has even took their ls1s to the track though. i'll post the times if i do get to race him.
