Default wrecked my 01 ss

i was going to a party last night with some friends of mine and we drove buy a bar and some bikers were yelling at us so being stupid i droped it in first and nailed it i hit second and it slid sideways a little but when i hit third i went onto a bridge and hit a bump and i lost it and hit the guard rail and went into the ditch and rain over some pipe and then hit a road sign that spun me out into a field. the sign wiped my driverside fender, my door is is broke in pieces and the glass broke and my rear quarter is smashed and axel is bent from when it hit the guard rail. when i ran over the pipe it broke my rack and pinion and smashed my cats and pushed up my floor boards. i am so sick right now i still am waiting just to wake up form this bad dream. The car only had 21,000 miles

Sorry to hear about your SS.

I think somewhere a lesson has been learned the hard way. I hope it is repairable.

yup! I totaled my first camaro Z 4 months after I got it. I burned rubber on a intersection taking it sideways( drifting) and didn't shift into 2nd car whipped on me and slammed on to a pole I had no insurance (yes I know I was stupid) man my life hasn’t been the same since. Now I own a 01 camaro SS and yes I get crazy once in a while, but your car has limits know them don't let the car remind you. Man its hard mot to **** w/ these cars but like I said know your limits. sorry to here about this. Good luck bud!

I feel for ya. I totalled mine 2 years ago. I was on a curvy road and going around a corner at about 75mph when right in the middle of the curve was a big dip. It sent my rear around and I slammed into a moutainside which spun me around and put me back on the road in the same direction I was going at around 40mph. I stopped to look at it and drove it on to the insurance office. It had all kinds of suspension, frame, and wheel damage. I had just spent $600 on new tires to and it ruined all but one.
Hope you can fix it back up, but if not take the insurance money and buy another one.

I thought i was going to be able to get it out of the ditch befor the cops got there but like 3 min after it happend 5 cop cars showed up and they called in a highway patrol. i got a failure to devote full attention to road conditions ticked its $170. i just lifted the car today to see the full under car damage and its not looking good the front a arms are bent all the bolts that were sticking down in the front end are broke off or bent over like 2 inches. all the crossmembers have to be replaced. i will find out monday if its ganna be totaled. i cant even walk into my garage without almost getting sick looking at it.

Sorry about your loss man. If worse comes to worse and it is done. BUY IT BACK FROM INSURANCE!! You will make your money back 10 fold with the motor and tranny. and all the misc interior stuff. You could prob sell your hood and wing if they aren't too wasted. I am sure you can prob find a way to get it back on the road though. Best of luck man and keep your head up. It happens to the best of us

if it has under carriage damage you can just consider it totaled most insurance companies will consider your car damaged with just the damaged crossmembers. sorry to hear about the SS man.

Get replacement parts on ebay. If even you get stuck with a couple of bad parts its way cheaper than that Chevy dealer. They just charged my 5.00 a piece for plastic push in retainers!

Sucks to hear about ur SS. I would die if that was my car.

My 99 Z28 w/ 48000 miles was totalled last thursday. It was raining all day and when it let off I went to the bank to pay a guy off for an 87 Firebird I bought the week before. I spun it around a curve and hit a light pole doing about 30MPH. It sucks for sure, I know. I think mine was a passing of the torch. From the Camaro to the Firebird.

if you dont mind me asking, how much did they offer you for your car? what is your buyback? ANd how many miles?

I am getting ready to have my car appraised by a 3rd party because I don't agree with state farm's valuation

buyback depends on how much the company thinks they can get t a salvage auction. they like to get 20% of the payout so take your cars value and get 20% of it and thats what you can expect
