I hear that. I hate my measly 305 also. But I'm getting around to throwing it in the river sometime this year. I'm upgrading to the ls iron block. I may do a overhaul on my petty 305 and slap it into a daily driver though. I have a 86 Iroc, if I can figure out how to post images I would.

I'm keeping my 305 in for awhile. It has a lot of DD duty to perform. I'll probably do a basic rebuild for some good first-hand engine experience and, when the time/money comes, I'll start turning it into a street/strip car.

The wheels look awesome.
I hated my 305 too. Im sorry and not downing your car but my car with the headers and exhaust only LT1 swap trapped 81 in the 1/8th and yours traps 81 in the 1/4. 305-
Is yours TBI?I drive my car every day and I get 26 mpg on the interstate. You should definately look into an LT or LS swap for a DD.

305 not that bad just need a cam check these sad cam specs
179/194 .350/.384 .373/.410 109deg- 87 305 auto
207/213 .415/.430 .443/.459 117deg- 88-89 350,305
202/207 .413/.428 .441/.457 114.5 -90-92 350,305

saddly i own a 87 305 auto
but my friend put a nice size cam in it with Lts and exhaust and did alittle porting on the head and ran mid 13s with a TPI so thats not bad. IF you own a TBI swap that out and put a carb or TPI on it just my 2 cents
