Default 67-69 camaro guys...restore questions

Ive fallen into an option to get my hands on a 69 ss. Now i havent seen the car much but im just trying to get some background info. I planned on pulling the engine and going with a new zz383 longblock. Now i would like some info about with the new engine am i going to run into rearend/transmission problems? If i get the car cheap enough im debateing just buying a new ford 9" and a tko600. That way the major drive part will be all updated. However if its not worth it or it doesnt need it i wont but i need your guys's help for that? Im not looking to run this thing at the track, just drive it around weekends/nice days but still would like to put out some darn good power. So will 450/475 run me into any problems with stock tranny/rear?

If it is a real SS, it should already have a 12-bolt rearend in it. Just get a good posi and upgraded axles, it should be plenty strong. My '69 was running 10s at the track with the stock 12-bolt and just alloy axles.

who do you recomend for a good posi/axles? And how many splines? How about the tranny setup on a stock ss car?

The old Camaro's prices have went out the roof. Makes for a pretty good investment.
