Default Hard to Verify

I bought a FHP B4C in January and have done a lot of research on how the 2002 B4C compares to the 2002 Z28 (other years may be different). As best I can determine so far they are the same except for the ticket light in the B4C. One post said the B4C had a more powerful alternator but that may not have been true for 2002. Mine has RPO K43 GENERATOR 102 AMP; I don't know what is standard on the Z28. The "Camaro White Book" says the 2002 has 1LE rear (lower) control arms but other posters have said this is not correct. Of course the 2002 B4C is a hardtop and has a GU5 3.23 rear end.

It would be nice if someone could verify what differences, if any, there actually are between the 2002 B4C and Z28.

My daytime running lights are disabled and yours are probably the same.

Surely somebody knows what the standard alternator is on a 2002 Z28.

I'm not sure, but I think 97 B4C's were the last to have the 140A alternator. It was a lot easier to replace than the LS1's too! (But that's about the only easy thing on the LT1!)

Thanks for the confirmation. It seems, then, that the 2002 B4C is identical to the 2002 Z28 except for the ticket light and the lack of badges (and possibly the lower control arms if the White Book is accurate).

So, let's start a rumor that all B4Cs are faster than SSs because the B4Cs got used to running fast catching speeding Mustangs.

No his point is that a 98 is quicker than a 02 which is just not true. There's no difference in the motors of same year LS1 powered SSs', Z28s, B4Cs, Trans Ams and Firehawks. There was something wrong with the 02.
