what is this IROC worth?
#21
its a shame for someone to take a IROC and make it look like your everyday RS/Z28
put the factory wheels back on it, and it wouldnt look too bad
do you have access to the rpo sheet? what year is the car?

wow, this cracks me up!!! maybe its just because it is an ls1 site is why the flack for the car, but I personally think its beautiful! (Of course I do - I made it like this!) But I had never has any negative feedback on it before in my life. Then again I had it from 99-03. Is it really that hideous to ls1 owners?!?

I would drive it, looks pretty good to me for a 3rd gen, but still for how those things hold value I wouldnt pay more then 4 K for it. Also how many miles on the actual car? not just the new engine.

i'd drive it i don't like the spoiler, needs a 3 peice, and the rims HAVE to be switched. Maybe some 17" chrome Iroc knock offs And i too prefer the stock hood but since i'm sure the blower won't fit unless it has a cowl i wouldn't mind that hood I'd give about $4,500-5000 tops. They go for descent money up here though still. You should see what 4th Gens for for up here.

I also own an iroc, ive always liked the way they look with the wheels and stuff. you take that stuff away, and there isnt much difference.. ive always thought those spoilers had their place on the 91-92s with the aero gfx kits and such. just my personal opinion.

Damn you guys are picky. I kinda like it, except for the wheels. The prices stated should be about right. 3rd gens are just not worth that much....yet.
My take on the one in this thread is the same as most, the value is mainly in the engine and blower.

Buy it... Ditch the ugly *** wheels, put on some polished IROCs...or maybe some of the 17" IROC style wheels. Ditch the spoiler and go with a 3 piece.
Pull the crate motor and blower, sell that off and make your money back. Find a nice LS1, cam/heads, and run 11s with great MPG
Seriously though...its not that bad except for the wheels. Ide love to see those melted down into soda cans. Honestly, the price would depend on the interior for me. Those parts are getting harder to find. Exterior parts are still pretty available if you need them. Also, rust... Check floor boards whether its a t-top car or not. Check the unibody where the front clip mates to the firewall area. Check for cracks...
If the interior is good, just needs TLC, and the paint is nice, and it runs good, then $4500-$5000 would be reasonable. More pictures and a vid of the motor running would help with the guesstimate though.

If i were buying a 3rd gen it would have to have the porthole kits that the 91-92s had. But the color and wheels would def have to be changed. I had a 92 RS and if that car matched the perfect body mine had i'd think about it. I'd pay maybe 3500 for it, i like mine to be stock looking. I sold my 92 with 94k miles for $4,700, and it was completely bone stock.

in my opinion it is not that bad at all, but yeah the spoiler and rims would be changed, and get a 2" cowl hood. at the most i would pay would be 4500 for. good luck if you buy it.
