Monteray maroon matalic. Was an F-body color. not sure if it's an SS or not. Hood is aftermarket. Check for the RPO code WU8 on the driver side door.

To the best of my knowledge, they only made one or two and they are both 2002 Tom Henrys SSs. Contact member "380SS" he has one, but he is in the process of coming back state side last/this week. So he might not get back with you real quick.

Like stated above, check the driver's door for WU8 code and you can get the VIN and call your local Chevy dealership and they could tell you. If not them, call and give VIN to SLP.

I have never seen one but its possible. If its a real SS though why put a hood on it? Also strange if its not an SS that it has the SS spoiler...most guys making their Zs look like an SS dont do the spoiler.Check the door codes to be sure.

Thats not really true. If I were to keep my Z I would have put a SS spoiler on it. However I have seen it where guys just do the spoiler, but there are a lot of guys that like putting the SS spoiler on.

As far as it being real, idk. The tips like said before are chrome Z tips and idk why they would change the hood. I have never seen one in that color, but its worth a call.

It has the owners manual. See if it has the SS suplemental manual. But the RPO on the dirver side door is the best way to tell.

There were NO factory Monterey Maroon SS ever made. The Tom Henry SS car is a Z28 that had the SLP hood and spoiler added to it by Tom Henry and then converted by GMMG to Tom Henry 380hp specs.

On a closer look, those look like aftermarket ZR1 rims. They look like they have the immitation corvette symblo on them, not the SS they should have.

Like said earlier, there were no Maroon SSs made. But that is a beautiful car. If you are interested in that car talk to the dealer and remeber that is a Z28 when you are bargaining on the price.

Very good advice especially if the dealer thinks or tries to pass it off as an SS. Shouldn't pay for something it's not. If you have to show him it's not then do so. Just don't let yourself get screwed.

The ZR1's do appear to be aftermarket seeing as they have the corvette logo. It looks like a clone to me. Get the vin and double check to see if the WU8 code is listed on the door.

Ad clearly says "Z28". No where does it say "SS" so they aren't trying to mislead anyone. If anyone is it's the previous owner putting SS badges on it.
