true that. I used to have a 95 Taurus SHO 5-speed. Very nice, very fast 4door, but super unreliable. The engine locked up at about 70K. I only owned it for about 8 months, and everything that could go wrong with it... did. The Terminator Cobra is the only Ford I would every really consider buying, aside from the new ShelbyCobra, or maybe a 2000 Mustang Cobra R, but obviously we are talking real specialty, real limited production model type cars. The stock mustang GT's are so ugly to me, and their power is a joke. I was consistently outrunning modded ones at the track with my stock 99 Z28 A4 (3.23 gears) by nearly a half a second on every run.

Concerning the video , if you'll notice the GTO was lugging around who knows how big a passenger with the camera. Had it been just the driver it would have been much closer but ya'll are right . The big goats are just too damn heavy & are built for comfort first & then performance . Like the man said , in order for them to be competitive with Z/28's & Trans am's you have to speed a lot of money and change/modify a bunch of stuff .

i do respect the trminator cobra.. all of us GM dudes should, thats the only ford made for the last 35years even worth looking at, and so i did, and i was not impressed, they drive well, and look nice, but that goddamm interior.. the fbodys low qualaty interior is far better, i just now.. that interior + its a mustang would just make me sell it back one day and get að vette..

That was just the choice I had to make when I bought my SS. I drove a few Termi Cobras -- in stock trim, they scream and would respond VERY well to mods. Personally, I didn't like the ride as much (I guess I just prefer a true solid axle bumpy ride) and went with the SS.
For my next car, I would definitely consider getting a Cobra that had already been modded and had a solid rear axle.

If a Z06 is possible that would be an easy decision in my view. If not then I have to side with an fbody over a Cobra although it is really tempting to get a Cobra and change the pulley for 450rwhp. Although, with the money you save getting an fbody you could get boltons/12 bolt/nitrous and go fast than the Cobra would for about the same money.
