- 05-02-2011 06:26 PMYou can run some svo 30lb from ford they dont go for alot. if u plan on bigger motor an stuff later pick up some green top 42s off lightnings they are good as well. if u havent upgraded ur fuel pump its time to do that as well

- 01-25-2011 07:50 AMI would keep them for a future build or find out how much they r worth and maybe sell or trade them simply because u r gonna hurt to much from the compression loss and milling them to much is asking for trouble. Thins out the head and misses up geometry

- 01-24-2011 11:49 PMIf you really want to use them I would mill them down quite a bit to try and get every bit of compression back. Its not so easy cuz you may only drop 1cc ever .01 milled... 66cc is what a stock ls1 head is and a 243 or 799 sits at 64cc which would be a better option. If you had domed pistons you would b fine using them cuz they help bring the compression back up. Many people going the forced induction route get 317s to drop their compression so they can add more boost. Hope this helps
