No, GenII vs GenIV engine dude, totally different block. look for a similar LSx sump and mod if required to suit. Actually you might find one drops right in with the right mounts.

Just use the Morosso 20140 ls1 swap pan and their pickup. You will have to use a remote oil filter but the pan clears great. With the S&P motor mounts and truck accessories everything clears well. 98-02 Camaro header fit well if you dimple the passenger side header slightly. You will also need to make a bracket to mount a drive by wire gas pedal that is required to run the LS3 crate engine. I bought mine from Speartech and they also can help you with the wiring. Do some searching here and on the Impalassforum and you will find all the info you need. Here are a couple of pics of my 96 Impala:

Pacesetters LT's. The oil pan (20140) costs about $200 at Carshopinc and the pickup is around $90 from Jegs or Summit (24050). No cutting of the frame is needed with the truck accessories but if you are trying to use the Camaro accessories you will have clearance issues between the frame and the A.C compressor.

You will need to use s&p mounts as our units are not designed for the b body offset. I don't remember but either the passenger or the driver unit is offset further back... Could the crossmember be modfied for f body pan clearance?

Yes the crossmember can be notched and boxed but if I had to do that I wouldn't do the swap. But I ordered the moroso oil pan from u. Good service. I should have it in soon.

You have no idea how many times we've said that lol. I KNOW they would sell like crazy. Update the suspension, keep it a body-on-frame platform, some 4.10s, and a t56 or tr6060...sounds like a damn good combo.

Oh and rear wheels AT LEAST 10" wide. I wanna see nothing less than 285s on the rear.
