I've toasted the 3rd gear clutches in 700R4's too many times, and the gear spacing between 1st and 2nd SUCKS. 4L80E, TH400, or TH350.
Since it's going in a 4th gen daily driver, I think 4L60E would be the first choice since it's a bolt-in. I think the 'E solves the 700R4's 2->3 valvebody problems--does anyone know for sure? On the other hand the gear spacing still sucks compared to a 4L80E or TH400.
