Which intake for G-Body swap?
Hey guys...need to know if I can modify the intake from a 05 LQ4 to fit under the hood of my 86 monte carlo. I will have PRC Stg 2.5 heads and torquer 3 cam so I was debating whether or not to swap the intake for a LS6. Mind you this is a mainly street drivin car and I would like as much power under the curve as possible. Let me know boys, Thanks.

I had the same thoughts, and I did not like the ugly truck cover, so I smoothed the top of the intake and painted it, It looks much better, looks more like a tunnel ram (call it a Tork-Ram). I am not going to use it though since I have got a GMPP4 barrel intake now.

Yes, that one surely looks like mine... except that I left the mounting for the throttle cable, because I wasn't going to use the fly-by-wire.
It is a pain to smooth, because if you are not careful with the sanding pads, they get clogged with the plastic, so it is time consuming. But well wotrh the effort, I think.

That looks a lot better, thats for sure. The manifold I have has a returnless fuel rail..Is that the only option I have for the truck intake? I would like to have a return system..

Cool deal...When it comes to cleaning mine up, how will I know what I can trim and smooth off the top without messing anything up? Im guessing a dremel or something of the sort was used to smooth it out?
