so is the edelbrock box any good then? what is the timing like with it? is it tunable

It's not tunable, but it uses the exact same pills that come with the 6010MSD box. The MSD 6012 uses different advance curves in the pills that come with it. As I said in the other post, if you want to see the advance curves, and this includes the MAP timing,go to their web site and download and print off or just look at them. It's in PDF format or whatever they call it. Ron edit: the rev limiter is not in the pills. On the MSD box, you can change it and still use the pills.

ive just looked at those curves and they have me worried a bit, thats a lot of advance could this be enough to create detonation problems

edelbrock isnt adjustable in any way unfortunately, only the msd version.
