What rear gear ratio are you running?

I can only imagine what yours does with the bigger cam. Everyone says that cam is not so big that you miss any low end grunt.

Keep us posted.
I do love the idle, shakes the car alittle, and turns a few heads, especially in a Z car.

I am running the stock R200 with 3.54 gears.

I am not sure if its because its a 6.0, but I am not lacking ANY low end grunt at all.

What motor are you running in your Z?

An LS2 crate motor. Not too different from what you have

Nope, not too different. Mostly compression and block material.

I had planned on swapping some worked over 5.3 heads on my LQ4 at a later date which would raise my compression to around 11:1. However until I get my traction issue straightened out I don't think adding more power on tap would be wise.

Well I've managed to munch a set of spider gears in the stock R200 so I just welded everything up (poor-man's spool) until funds allow a LSD unit with CV's to replace it. I have also started messing with the bodywork again. Hopefully I'll have a budget paint job on it by June, but time will tell.

I am also have plans in the future to replace the truck intake with a Edelbrock Pro-Flo intake. I have the hood clearance, and its just alittle more $$ than a stock LS6 intake and half the cost of a FAST with greater gains.

B&M Pro-Stick. Works great too. I've used them in previous cars too, so I knew I would be getting what I wanted.

Take care.

You have to take that sucker to the strip and make a pass with it.

A friend had a 260Z with a stock LS2 and larger cam, JTR headers, a tune with a T56 transmission and it went high 10's@130mph+ the first time to the track on drag radials. Those old school Z cars are light!

Here is a pic of the same shifter in my last Z car, it was done exactly the same in the current car.

I welded a plate to cover the manual shifter hole, then mounted the shifter to the plate as if it were any ordinary trans tunnel. Same goes for cable routing.

I miss drag racing alot, but I like being married more.

Sure thing, they'd just have to be a female, under 30 years of age, under 120 lbs, under 5'8", and have at least a D cup.

I'd be happy with that, so would my wife.
