As of right now I have $225 in my bracket conversion with all new parts. I bought a reman power steering pump for $85 and turned in the CTS-v one for a core. I still need to find a good deal on a alternator. I can get one from the parts store for like $139 with a lifetime warranty but no clutch. Some clown on e-bay wants $200 for one with the plastic all broken as well as the plug. I will just have to be patient. I also need the sheetmetal bracket that holds the reservoir to the alternator bracket. All of the pulleys seem to line up otherwise.

I am looking for the part number to the power steering reservoir bracket. I see how the reservoir sits on there but I checked the parts list and there is no mention of the reservoir bracket. Oh and I could also use the part number for the dip stick. One would think it would come as an assembly. You would think that at the least it would cut down on handling fees.

You know what's funny is that after looking closer that bracket looks like the one I sold a few months back that went with GTO front drive accessories I sold....It just sat horizontal whereas the Vette sits vertical...Duh me....I guess I could make one if it came down to it...

You are the man! I am still looking for my alternator deal but other than that I have everything.
12555222 is $4.59 on GM parts direct and
10317982 is $16.79 .
Could you have those numbers backwards? Doesn't matter I can call my guy tomorrow and get them ordered. I usually get the same price as GMPD or less. They charge $100 over cost for crate engines which is a smokin deal...as good as or better than the big guys.

I typed GM then the part number into google and RMS has similar pricing. Oh and about the alternator I believe the truck alternators have the same mounting points it's just the brackets that are different. Also I think they are usually higher output than the car ones. So you could easily find a cheap at a yard or on eBay. Unless you just want the vette style with the clutched pulley. Oh and if you get one from a yard/eBay remember to get the correct year for your connector.

I have a truck alternator from my Silverado SS, it is not the same. The CTS-c alternator lines up but has an extra cast in bracket that I would have to cut off. I have 4 alternators laying. I would trade all 4 for one I could use.

I got another part number for you. The part number for the reservoir to pump hose is 15907878 and costs about $20 out the door from my parts guy.

All you need is the bracket, the alternator and PS pump/reservoir. The Vette stuff and CTS stuff is at the same depth, so everything will line up.
There is nothing special about the LS7 stuff other than the balancer; the rest is just regular C6 parts.
I've got an LS7 that's converted to the F body parts, but I tried the CTSv stuff first. Wouldn't clear the rack on the car unfortunately, but the water pump and balancer on the LS7 lined up perfectly with the v parts.
Even if your engine doesn't have the flat faced pump it doesn't matter, as the other pump will still work the belt farther back. C5's were set up like the C6, and they used the same pump as an F body.

If I'm understanding correctly - you used ALL Ls1 Fbody accessories on your Ls7 block (other than Harmonic Balancer)? I have an Ls7 going in a Fbody that was a v6 - so I don't have the Ls1 accessories to check fitment. Did you run an AC compressor as well? If so, from an Fbody? I have a C6 water pump with the shortblock I bought, will I need to replace it with one from an Fbody as well? I'm assuming you're using all stock accessories? Also, how about the starter?
Sorry for the bombard of questions. I just don't want to start buying a whole laundry list of parts and brackets to find out I have the wrong stuff for my application.

Last time "Chris442" posted was well over a year ago - and that was selling off a bunch of LS parts. Prior to that - it was 2011. My point was he's unlikely to respond to your question in the thread.....but you carry on and here's another bump hoping he picks it up.
