Using Transdapt Motor mount part# 4592 on A G_body/LQ4 swap
Is this part an adapter for you stock sbc motor mounts to mount the LQ4?
Or is it the actual mounts themselves?
Please chime in...I need some help fellas?

The kit only comes with the plates for the LS block and the brackets that attach to the plate you have to buy your own mounts that go on the k-member, which I'm in the process of finding out which ones they are.

I thought with these type of plate mounts, you need the stock engine mount and then swap frame mounts side-to-side.
I am tring to learn too. So can someone chime in? I originally planned on just going with BRP Hotrods conversion for a 2nd gen F-body. But it looks like they upped their prices. I am affraid to know how high they will raise by the time I finally snag a LQ4 or LQ9

Hey, That would be everything you need if you had an older car like my 70 Chevelle, which is an A-body. While you could get the moroso mounts and all that, the easiest route for you would be to simply unbolt the mounts (solid shell style) from your SBC and bolt these to the adapters which are bolted to the engine.
You would have the sandwich type mounts left over, but you do not need these since the damping rubber is attached to the frame mount on G-bodies.
AsI said that should be the easiest and most inexpensive way of mounting your engine. You will end up with the engine to transmission flange about 1.250" anead of the original location, and you will need to move the transmission mount accordingly if you are keeping the same drivetrain.
Therefore an even cheaper solution would include a different kind of mount, like the Hooker style, then you can reuse your transmission, and even driveshaft.
Make sure you use a spacer and flexplate from a 4L80E equipped 6.0, you can find these at junkyards for about $20, or at GM for about $60.

I have a set of the plates from Transdapt the exact ones pictured, I have only mounted them once, but they were wrong for what i needed you can have them for $30 shipped.
