What steering rack were you running on that thing. I have the Qa1 crossmember with some solid conversion mounts from UPR and the GM muscle car conversion pan (shallower than the truck pan) taps the stock 4 banger power steering rack.

(Sarg) im running a flaming river manual rack.

So just got home form the track ran the car last night first off the air was horrible. The DA had to be around 5k and I couldn't pull any real good 60's but was still able to get a new pb with the new added power 5.77@126.36 on a 1.409 60' which was the cleanest pass of four that I made. One of which I almost got some wall as it spun really hard and sent me towards the k rail. Luckily I was able to get out of it and keep it off the wall. I think it still has some left in the tune and chassis setup and better track/weather conditions. should be interesting to see what it can be made to do in the near future.
we did get some vids/pics i'll be working on getting them posted up soon.

The car looked great man! When you get that thing to hook it will be crazy.

I'll have to see if I have any pics or ill have to wait till I unload the car out of the trailer to take some. I just made mount brackets out of some 3/16" steel plate that bolt to the threaded holes on the side of the block where the ac compressor normally sits. It's a Honda civic alt. Think its around 60 amp or so. I slotted the top bolt hole so you just rotate it outward to tighten the belt and I'm running a 3 rib belt on the narrow belt groves on the rear of the ballancer. Now that im running an electric water pump that small belt is the only belt on the car.

Do you no what year and motor the Alternator came off of?

When ever you get time to get pics that would be great.

Thanks
Dennis

Here is a little update I changed the rear springs in the car and switched to mt 28-10.5-15s slicks and started raising the 2 step rpm little bit at a time. ended up getting the 60's down to a 1.27 still have more to go next time out i was only able to get 3 passes in. I see 5.50s in the near future if not a little quicker. Here is a vid. I had to let off early cause it got loose in 3rd gear and still went 5.70s

What were the 2 step settings and boost you tried for launch, and how did it reflect on the 60' if you don't mind telling

The pass in this vid was at 4050rpm I had always launched down closer to 3700 in the past. It seemed to like it higher and I think there id still room to go higher yet. At which point I think ill have to tighten up front struts to tame the wheelie down.
