Fbody oil pan 12558899?
A guy sent me a pic of an oil pan he has for sale. Claims it's off of an Fbody. In the pics, it damn sure looks like an Fbody pan but the part number is 12558899
Has anyone heard of that before?
Thanks

12558762 superceded to 12628771 & 12598151 are complete pan assembly part numbers: steel baffle, drain plug, gasket and bolts.
The difference between 12558762 > 12628771 & 12598151 is either a minor revision and/or one comes with a magnetic drain plug and one does not.
Hope that helps!

How many quarts
I have this exact oil pan stamped 12558899 with a sticker 12628771 on it. It’s on a sand-rail of mine and GM told me the engine stamps indicate it being a LS1, 1999 to 2002, F body which is either a Camaro Z28 or Firebird Trans Am. My question is, how many quarts of oil is needed to fill it? I was experiencing blow by and I wondered if it requires less oil due to the oil pan.
