need help picking which engine for 86 fox
i want to swap in a engine over winter time but i cant seem to choose which route to go. ls1,ls2,6.0,5.3l ?? i want to keep cost down as low as possible. i have a D1SC that i want to use with a blow through carb and also will be injection meth/water also already have. i would like the car to be around 10.0. so I'm thinking I'm going to need around 550rwhp. please let me know if that doesn't sound right. if i can make more power and go faster and still be on the cheap that is perfectly ok so can you guys please help point me in the right direction.
thanks, Dan.

I vote for a forged iron block 6.0 since you're gonna supercharge it...bigger displacement will already have the extra power, the iron block will hold up, and it's not much more than if you were to get a forged LS1. Good luck deciding!

what do you mean number wise for low boost vs high boost? i want it to be able to make atlease 550rwhp so can that be done with a stock bottom end with rod bolts? i will also put heads on it along with a carb intake.

im going to be going with a 6.0 wont know if it will be a lq9 or lq4 untill the deal comes up on a good priced local engine. what are some good thing to do to the lower end to keep it together? would like to see at least 550rwhp with the D1SC.
1. rod bolts
2. ??? do i have to upgrade pistons and rods? becuase if i have to do this it dosn't seem to be a very good idea to buy a complete stock 6.0 if i have to replace everything.
