Klimaxx your car has really turned out nice and I am impressed at the short amount of time it took you.
Would you mind sharing what you did to by-pass the orginal voltage regulator / alternator wiring so that it would co-exist with the new engine harness and alternator? Did you basically just NOT hook it up to the new alternator? If so, what is your power source for the headlights, horn, etc. Thanks for any input.

so if you have your harness its really just a positive wire off the alt you need to worry about, and hooking the stock power distrabution block by the battery to the pos terminal of the battery. (the block is where the horn relay gets power from.)
alternativly you could hook the back of the alt directly to the battery or to the positive cable on the starter (for a cleaner look)..
Feel free to ask questions if i wasn't clear... I can picture it in my mind, but not sure if it will make sense to someone else!

Try madelectrical for some good info to do the bypass, etc including relays for headlights. You can do it yourself and it works

Klimaxx / 69 Ghost - much thanks to you both for your responses. I have a RS car with the hide-away headlights, but I assume the information will be the same or similar.
Thanks again!

I'm ready for power tour next friday... my new-style morris classic seatbelts shipped monday, I'll post a thread later on them but bill is very proud of thee new belts, and rightly so. He even rushed them through in a custom color (to match my gold) so i would have them for powertour. He says I got one of the only 4 currently in existance right now....VERY COOL

My 67 made it through, only issues were a cooling fan thast failed and a power steering pully (ls1 plastic stocker) exploded, both were quick fixes, not bad for 3400 miles in a 43 year old car!
Does anyone that went have a day one newton MSD magnet??? I got there after they ran out, its the only day i'm missing...

Tuned the car last weekend, got a good baseline for before, so i can tell exactly what the supercharger/cam gets me. Put down 300 to the tire (unlocked converter) 320 locked converter. (mustang dyno)

Great thread lot's of info. I'm just starting a LS-2 into my 69 Camero. I was in Birmingham when Power Tour came through and got to see a lot of nice cars, I really want to go in the future.
